Candy Ravers Also Known As Kandi Kids

Posted by ARNOLD YU on April 29, 2009.

Ever wonder what those kids with the bright, baggy, and colorful clothes at the raves are all about? They are commonly referred to as “Candy Ravers,” “Kandi Ravers,” or “Kandi Kids.”

The “Candy” being referred to are the bracelets piled onto their arms, made out of plastic beads that are usually color coordinated. Some even have the person’s name, or another message, spelled out on them.

At the beginning of the night, the Kandi Kids have multiple bracelets on their arms. Throughout the night, they give them away to their buddies or newfound friends as a token to remind them of the great time they had at the event. When Kandi Kids give bracelets to one another, it’s called a “kandi trade.”

You can tell the Kandi Kids apart from the others by their colorful choice of clothing, their glow accessories, visor hats, colored hair, and pleasant personalities.

But the most important element of a Kandi Kid is to be hyper, enthusiastic, and practice P.L.U.R. at each and every event!

For the next big event, let Ravestuff.com bring out the “Kandi Kid” in you!
