180,000 People Attend Electric Daisy Carnival 2010 At The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum

Posted by ARNOLD YU on July 02, 2010.

Wow, what an unforgettable weekend- that's one word that sums up both nights.   With an estimated 180,000 people at Electric Daisy Carnival 2010, including all the employees, it had to be one of the largest human gatherings this nation has ever seen!  This ridiculous event started at 2 PM(PST) and ended way too early at 2 AM(PST).  But nonetheless it so much fun that I woke up the next morning feeling guilty for having TOO much fun!  Anyone feel me?

Anyways, Friday night wasn't as packed as Saturday night but they still closed of the main dance floor pretty early, and if you have never been to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, the dance floor is on the field where USC plays football on Saturdays.  Pretty neat right? You can say that you partied on the USC football field with thousands of people!  With the worlds top DJ's like Kaskade, Armin van Buuren, Deadmau5, BT, Gareth Emery, Dirty South, Swedish House Mafia, Steve Aoki, Bart B More, Benny Benassi, Afro Jack, Dada Life, and many more, it was like being engulfed in pure musical bliss!  So let me tell you how my night went for both nights and tell me if it was similar to yours:
5:00 PM - Get off of work and drive to the hotel to get ready. (While listening to XM Radio streaming EDC Live, running super late)

5:30 PM - Arrive at the hotel to check in and get ready! attend

6:00 PM - Starting to drive to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum

6:05 PM Stopping by the market for last minute necessities

6:30 PM Stuck on the 110 N listening to XM radio missing out on the great music!!!

6:35 PM Running super late, Anxious, Frustrated

6:36 PM Decide to get off the freeway and go locally from downtown Los Angeles

7:00 PM On Figueroa, Street sign says to make a right on next street but my navigation tells me to go straight!

7:01 PM Still trying to decide which one is telling the truth..

7:02 PM I listen to the street sign and end up parking at a USC parking lot for 25 dollars, only to find out we were a MILE away from EDC!!!!

7:20 PM Finally get to EDC and pick up tickets at Will Call

7:25 PM Get inside EDC, and try to get onto the main field, but they already closed it off =(

7:35 PM When to the bleachers in section 23 to check out Dirty South

8:00 PM Went to go see Steve Aoki at the Cosmic Meadows

8:20 PM Walking back to the Stadium and ran into friends and went up to Section 18

9:50 PM Left watching Swedish House Mafi (I have no idea why i did that) to go see Bart B More

10:10 PM Met up with the rest of my friends at the Bart B More Stage, time to Dance!!

10:50 PM Walk over with my huge group of friends to see KASKADE!!

11:00 PM Got to section 23 to see Kaskade, who spun an amazing set, and got to see a spectacular LED light shows from the stage!

12:45 AM Deadmau5 comes on!! Super excited!

2:00 AM Deadmau5 set is over, one of the worst sets ever, couldn't believe my night ended like this!

2:30 AM friends drop me off at my car in attempts to go party at the USC BETA house

2:30 AM Stuck inside the USC parking garage for 2 hours!!!! Ultimate fail for parking in this parking lot!

4:30 AM finally got out of the parking lot, and went home....
